Mission Statement
- The mission of Confucius Institute is to provide quality teaching in all Chinese Programmes and innovate ways of sustaining continued collaboration with Confucius Headquarters, Hanban China
Objectives
The objectives of Confucius Institute are;
- To teach Chinese language and culture to as many people as possible.
- To teach Chinese Fine Art, Sports and Game. Traditional Chinese medicine and Confucius philosophy to as many qualified people as possible.
- To promote increased positive interaction between Shandong Normal University and Kenyatta University through language and culture for socio-economic benefits.
- To promote, improve and protect the interests of Kenyatta University and that of Confucius Institute headquarters, Hanban, China as per the memorandum of understanding
- Sustaining scholarship programmes for Kenyan students to learn Chinese language and culture in China and initiate exchange programmes between Kenya and China through Kenyatta University and Shandong Normal University.
- To institutionalize quality management systems in the operations of the institute.
